[music plays throughout] Every small town in this province has equally amazing people who have lived there and toiled there. We celebrate the little-known heroes of our area. The Ripple Effect – 4th Line Theatre We do historical, epic, large-scale plays on a 180-year-old family farm. Capturing and recording and archiving the stories of the people who came before. Quite often, there are people sitting in the audience who and that is their story that we’re telling. The community explodes in the summer. We have somewhere upwards of
17,000 people a summer come to the Millbrook-Cavan area, and spend money and hang out there. The Ontario Arts Council (OAC) right from the beginning supported and understood, and was a real cheerleader for the work, and is a really big reason why we’re about to go into our 28th season. What the OAC has given this organization is stability. People really take the theatre as a source of
pride in the community. I really do see the effect that our art has on people, and I see how it changes their lives. Investing in the arts
